What is a Job interview?
A job interview is a formal conversation between two or more people between the interviewer– hiring personnel or a panel and interviewee – the person applying for the job.
It involves structured questions to evaluate your skills, knowledge, and ability. Determine whether you are the right fit for the job.
Here are ten points that will help you to crack the interview and become the right fit.
1. PREPARE:
Prepare for the interview, Google commonly asked questions; specific to your job profile, position you are applying for, and observe how those questions are answered.
Practice yourself, be consistent. It helps you to be more confident and in control during the interview.
2. RESEARCH ABOUT THE COMPANY:
It is vital because it is the most commonly asked interview question and also gives a positive impression that you did your homework.
3. FAMILIARIZE:
Be informed about the type and rounds of interview you are attending;
Is it a phone interview, virtual interview?
Does the interview round include a group discussion, written aptitude test, technical round, etc, and prepare accordingly.
4. BRUSH UP:
Your resume has led you to the interview. It is time to own up to the claims you made in your resume.
You might have exaggerated in few places, become rusty in few skills, time to brush up your knowledge and be prepared.

Instead of giving a generic picture of your qualifications, be specific with your answers.
For example: If you are touching upon your employment history, try providing specific answers with examples about your achievements, notable projects, and so on.
10. QUESTION and FOLLOW UP:
Prepare your own set of questions you want to ask the interviewer, it could be about your job role and responsibilities, office policy, salary, etc.
Once the interview is over, Do your standard follow-up, maybe drop in an email with thank you note, and ask when you will know the interview result.
